Aluminium window and door factory audit and inspection in Foshan

MSC audits aluminium window and door factories in Foshan and the rest of the Pearl River Delta, and inspects orders before shipment, at $240 per inspector-day, all inclusive. Our partner inspector is based in Dongguan. He works through your checklist item by item; if you do not have one, we draft it from your drawings and specification and you approve it before the visit. For a new client, we check up to three candidate suppliers' official records free of charge before the audit.

Why check a Foshan window supplier before you order

Foshan is one of China's main centres for aluminium profiles, windows and doors. Many companies selling to export buyers there are trading companies or showrooms, and the same window can be quoted by several of them. Before a deposit, you want to know who actually makes your windows, where the profiles, glass and hardware come from, and whether the test reports you were sent cover the product you are buying. How to check a Chinese supplier before paying a deposit.

Pre-shipment inspection: what you can ask us to check

  • Quantities by window or door type against the packing list
  • Overall dimensions and diagonals against your drawings
  • Profile wall thickness at accessible cut ends, with a caliper
  • Powder coating or anodising thickness, with a coating thickness gauge
  • Colour and surface defects against the approved sample
  • Corner joints, gaps, sealant and gaskets
  • Glass build-up against your specification from labels and markings, and visible glass defects
  • Hardware brand and model, and opening, closing and locking operation
  • Drainage holes as shown on the drawing
  • Product labels, protective film, packing and carton marking

Samples are drawn under ISO 2859-1 AQL or the plan you set. You receive photos and measured values within 24 hours, and you decide whether the goods ship. We do not carry out laboratory tests such as air infiltration, water penetration or structural load: these need an accredited laboratory.

Compliance documents for your market

Australia: windows and doors must meet AS 2047. Ask for the full test report from a NATA-accredited laboratory, and check that the product series, configuration and maximum size tested match your order. In July 2026, Building Connection reported that seven of eight imported Chinese window and door products sent for independent testing failed, including one advertised as compliant.

Europe: windows and external doors fall under EN 14351-1 and need CE marking with a Declaration of Performance. Check that the declared performance and the product match.

During an audit or inspection we check that the documents exist and match the products we see. We do not certify compliance.
